Here are the answers to frequently asked questions
about having your Senior Portrait made

Q.. What should I wear for my Portraits.

For Traditional, Outdoor and Year Book poses...

Very simple garments always photograph best. Long sleeves are essential, as bare arms call attention to themselves and overpower the face. Medium to dark tones of brown, rust, burgundy, green, or blue are best. Avoid bold stripes, plaids, checks, prints and light colors.

For Contemporary and Fashion poses...

Again solid colors photograph best - light colors or white against white backgrounds - bold colors or black for fashion poses.

For Activity and Casual poses...

Let your personal tastes be your guide. Here the clothing can compete with the face since you are creating a statement of who you are.

Every outfit should be co-ordinated from head to toe. You never know if you will have close- up or full length poses made.

What if I wear glasses?

Glasses can cause distortion to your face and glare may show from the lights. Ask you optician to remove the lenses or borrow a pair of empty frames that match yours. Contacts do not present any problems in portraiture.

Q.. Can I bring a friend along...

Great idea. In fact, let us know who will be coming and we'll provide refreshments. Be sure to bring your favorite music tape and we'll make it a party. You can even have some poses made with your friend(s).

Q.. What about blemishes or braces...

Don't worry. Our talented artists can remove braces and zap zits, even on wallets. In addition, we can smooth tan lines, fix hair, adjust clothing and even,in some cases, reduce weight. Of course, it is always best to try to cover problems prior to the sitting if possible, but what you can't take care of, we can.

Q.. How long will my photo session last...

We don't want to rush you. The best portraits take time. Plan to spend between 45 minutes to an hour and a half depending on the type of sitting you select. If you plan on going outdoors add another hour.

Q.. When will my pictures be ready...

You don't want to wait so...you may see your poses immediately as they are taken. You can place your order the same or the following day. Finished portraits take about 2 weeks from the time your order is placed. We're the fastest studio around.

Q.. What about my Year Book Photo...

We will make the correct size and finish photograph you need for your year book and have it ready well before the school's deadline. We service over 21 different schools in the area and know the specifications for each school.

Q.. How much does it cost...

This is the #1 question asked by Parents, but it's not what you pay for your senior portraits that matters, it's what you get for what you pay -- That's Value!!!

What is it that makes Carroll Senior Portraits such a good deal?

First, you get to decide not only the styles and quantity of poses you want in your session, but you will also determine the exact number of photographs you will need. There are no minimum orders, no required packages of any kind. You may order exactly what you what. Many of our packages come complete with a decorator wall portrait, lots of gift portraits and tons of wallets and start as low as $175.

Included with every portrait at Carroll are the extras that are not available at other studios. Complete retouching of each pose ordered, decrotive finishes and free gift boxes and tissue wrapping just to mention a few things. Along with the best Lifetime Guarantee in the business, on all of the products that we offer!

How can something that's cheaper actually cost more?

That's exactly what could happen by choosing a studio based on price alone. If you don't like the pictures, it doesn't matter how cheap they are they're still too expensive! Don't let that happen to you!

At Carroll, you always get much more than you pay for, combine state of the art photography with a fun portrait session, add in super friendly and prompt service, then throw in outstanding values and specials, and you've got the perfect combination for your senior portraits.

Q.. What if I have to reschedule or cancel my sitting...

Since your sitting charge purchases studio time, which cannot be rebooked on short notice, your sitting charge is refundable only if your sitting is canceled with at least a 72 hour notice - or unless stated otherwise for special promotions. We will try to accomodate re-schedules without an additonal fee.
