Professional Photographers Against Lock Out Contracts

PPALOC Official Information Web Site

The PPALOC was initially formed by four photographers to get a bill passed into law in
Wisconsin which would prevent high schools from entering into Lock Out Contracts with a
single studio which prevents non-contract photographers from having the photographs
of high school seniors they have made, accepted in the school's year book.

The bill was successfully signed in to law on February 27, 2004.

Since this time, PPALOC has become the leader in continuing to fight for photographers rights.
On this website you will find numerous papers, articles, scripts and letters to help photographers
around the nation to start an effort in their own states to pass this type of legislation to
safeguard the future of senior photographers everywhere.

In addition, you will find follow-up suggestions for studios facing lock outs and how to get their schools
to conform to the new law that regulates the acceptance of yearbook photographs.

The Directors of PPALOC welcome any comments or questions you may have.
